Compact doors are a new concept that provide the architect and industrial door user with the features and benefits of both Sectional and Roller Shutter doors.

Space Saving
The unique folding mechanism stacks the insulted panels directly above the door opening. Light fittings, roof glazing, and overhead cranes are not obstructed.

Refurbishment
An old industrial door can be dismantled and replaced with a Compact Door within a day. This gives security at the close of business, and a new door. The Compact Door is an excellent replacement for a roller shutter. It fits into the space already used by the roller shutter, enhancing your working environment whilst saving on heating costs.

Low Maintenance
The electrically operated Compact Door has no counter-balancing springs or weights which require adjustment or regular maintenance. The simple, unique guiding system minimises the forces on the moving parts. Manual chain operated doors include springs.

Health and Safety Requirements
Compact doors are manufactured to the highest European Standards. It is a requirement of the Health and Safety Executive that all powered doors comply with the machinery Directive 89/392/EEC and carry the CE symbol. Every electrically operated Compact Door complies with this directive.

Technical Specification
The Compact Door is constructed from aluminium sandwich panels, 610mm high and 40mm thick with CFC free polystyrene fill. The compact door has seals around the perimeter and between the panels. The door is driven by a high quality three phase motor. The motors are available in frequent-use, medium-speed and high-speed operation. The high-speed version can achieve a speed of up to 0.5 m/sec on a door 4.00m w x 4.25m h.
